Dr Trefor Roscoe graduated in medicine from Sheffield University in 1982 and has been a GP in the The Beighton and Sothall Practice since 1987. He has been interested in computers since becoming the lead IT partner in his practice in 1990, he served as an GP computing adviser to the Sheffield Health Authority for 10 years and now advises at a national level. He has written extensively about IM & T having several academic papers and letters published in recognised journals, A full list of publications can be found in his CV. He gives talks on the Internet for GP's and lawyers. His book, Rapid Reference on General Practice Computing was published in Autumn 2003

in the Institute of General Practice at Sheffield University where he
was
an Honorary Lecturer and is now a course tutor on the MSc in Health Informatics.
He is medical director of
Spellcheck-IT Ltd and clinical lead for appraisal for
Sheffield PCT From the end of 1999 he worked for 18 months with Doctors.net.uk, the UK's leading medical internet portal as a consultant on all things primary care.
