Since its restoration and respray in Belfast in 1988 the car has been carefully looked after and kept in as near original condition as possible. Apart from some tiny scratches, minor cracking at the front wing joints and a few stone chips on the bonnet the paintwork is as new. Considering the paintwork is 17 years old and the car has done over 45,000 miles in that time it is not bad! The underneath was sealed and painted 10 years ago but there is some minor rust on the chassis and running gear. The central cross member had a section welded in in 2003 due to corrosion. Some minor work was done to the suspension in 2004 and in 2007 the rear leaf springs were replaced. The brake master cylinder was replaced due to a leak in 2009.
The interior carpets have been replaced but the seats are original. The stainless threshold plates are an addition from the 1980s.
Note the speakers in the boot open shot, these are contemporary to the car but were not a factory option.
As mentioned on other pages, the engine is not original and the air filters and rocker cover are also replacements but are in keeping with the sorts of changes made by owners in the 1970s.
The engine was converted to unleaded in 2004 and had a valve replaced in 2007.
